Get Involved

Ways to help our conservation and education efforts and protect Dogwood Canyon.

Volunteer

Volunteers are invited to join us every fourth Saturday of the month from 9am – 12pm (summer 8am-11am). Help with trail-building, habitat management, invasive plant removal, gardens and much more. Corporate and other team building groups welcome!

Want to get more involved? Attend a training to be a Reception Docent and greet visitors at our front desk or an Education Docent and enrich the lives of children by leading our four-hour, educational field trip program. For more information, please contact Conservation & Operations Manager Julie Collins.

Become a Member

Membership comes with perks like discounted programs and classes, a discount in our nature store, invitations to events and early openings, and more. So come do your Christmas shopping, introduce your friend from out of town to Dogwood Canyon with a Plus One, or take a class and become a better birder or conservationist. Or use your membership to develop a relationship with nature to become a happier, healthier person by spending time outdoors, just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas and Fort Worth. Whatever your motivation, membership supports our education and conservation efforts and helps protect Dogwood Canyon.

Bird for Science

By participating in our citizen science efforts or by entering your bird sightings on eBird on your own time, your birding observations connect to a nation-wide network of data which inform conservation efforts and congressional decisions.
