Field Trips & Academic Programs

Introduce your students to nature and customized programming to reinforce TEKS-aligned science concepts.

Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center offers exciting field trips and academic programs that strengthen students’ science process skills.  Programs can include interactive hikes, scientific journals, animal encounters, and kayaking.  We introduce thousands of students to the outdoors each school year.  Through hands-on learning, science concepts are reinforced while students find an appreciation for and understanding of local ecosystems and wildlife adaptations.  Our programs are correlated with TEKS core curriculum standards.

Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center is part of the National Audubon Society network, a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to conservation and restoration of natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
