About

Volunteering

Volunteering is an exciting and rewarding way to participate with Audubon.

Enthusiastic individuals or groups of people are welcome to work with us to further our mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems and connect people to nature.

Fourth Saturday Volunteer Work Day

Volunteers are invited to join us every fourth Saturday of the month from 9am – 12pm (summer 8am-11am). Help with trail-building, habitat management, invasive plant removal, gardens and much more. Corporate and other team building groups welcome!  For more information, please contact Conservation & Operations Manager Julie Collins.

Education Docents

Learn to teach our grade-specific Eco Investigations program for school children K–12. The programs are scheduled in advance and typically held on weekday mornings during the school year. Volunteers for these programs complete extensive training. This program requires dependable individuals who can make a specific, long-term, weekly commitments September–December and February–May. Program hours: 9:30am-1:00pm.

Reception Docent

Greet visitors at our reception desk and give them information about our center and trails. Includes nature store sales, marketing, and other tasks as needed.

Animal Care

Help us care for our Education Ambassadors, including toads, turtles, snakes and insects.

Special Events

Help with our family festivals or outreach events. Tasks may include manning a check-in table, assisting with activities and crafts, greeting guests, giving animal talks and more.
